Personalised Private Medical Insurance supports your family’s ongoing wellbeing

With NHS waiting times forever increasing – and even GP appointments getting harder to arrange – Private Medical Insurance – tailored to your and your family’s profile and needs – makes an awful lot of sense. This type of cover is very flexible: you can add optical and dental cover. The new pathways mean that you can get straight to a specialist, generally getting to at least a video call within 48 hours.

How we work

Many brokers will claim to offer ‘whole of market,’ but that may just mean that they offer every kind of product, but that they are all from the same insurer. Independent means that we can offer every kind of product from every insurer.

Benefits

  • A single point of contact at all times
  • Advice from as early in the process as you need
  • Access beyond us to over 30 experienced advisors for the more obscure questions
  • Access to every type of product from every insurer – we are truly independent
  • By your side all the way – to the moment you move in and beyond
  • Annual reviews at the very least

Why choose us

Sometimes it seems that there are almost as many financial advisors as there are financial products. Why should you choose us. We think there are many reasons of course, but among the most important are the following:

  • We are truly independent and can access the whole of the market.
  • We are advisers, not salespeople.
  • We are transparent in our costs and fees.
  • Our extraordinarily high rate of returning customers shows that people enjoy dealing with us.

This last is perhaps the most important. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. If we did not give our customers great service, they simply would not return.

FAQs

What does Private Medical Insurance cover?

Core coverage varies between providers but generally focuses on inpatient and day-patient treatments. Inpatient and Day-Patient Care covers hospital accommodation, nursing care, operating theatres, surgeons, and anaesthetist fees when you are admitted to a hospital bed. Diagnostic Tests covers the costs of specialist scans like MRIs, CT scans, PET scans, and X-rays. Cancer Treatment: many insurers provide comprehensive cancer care, often funding advanced drug therapies and treatments not always readily available on the NHS. Most policies cover organ transplants. Optional Add-ons: depending on your budget, you can pay extra to include outpatient consultations, mental health therapy, private physiotherapy, or routine dental and optical care.

What is generally excluded from coverage?

PMI is designed for acute illnesses, meaning it excludes: chronic conditions, i.e. long-term illnesses requiring continuous management (e.g., asthma, diabetes), emergency care, e.g. Accident and Emergency (A&E) admissions and elective/routine care, such as cosmetic surgery, fertility treatment, and normal pregnancy/childbirth costs.

Are pre-existing medical conditions covered?

No, standard policies do not cover pre-existing conditions you suffered from before buying the policy. How these are filtered out depends on the style of underwriting you select.
